At Gallery B612, we acknowledge that these are uncertain times in America. With the constant news cycle and ongoing and emerging global conflicts, supporting the arts may not be at the forefront of your mind. But if you’re seeking ways to support freedom of expression and empower diverse voices, supporting and investing in artists and artwork is a small but meaningful step you can take right now.
Here are three actions you can take right now to cast your vote for a more beautiful world of inclusion, diversity, and freedom of expression.
Send an artist a monetary high-five. Sending a tip is a small gesture that can make an artist's day. We made it easy for you to tip one or more of our artists here starting at five dollars. ALL proceeds will go directly to the artists.
Can you imagine if everyone on our mailing list sent in just a $5 tip? It would be glorious.

Tip an Artist!
ALL proceeds will go directly to the artists.
Starting at $5
Why you should consider investing in original art right now:
Inspiration & Well-Being – Surrounding yourself with art has been shown to boost creativity, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.
Supports Artists & the Art Community – Buying artwork helps artists sustain their craft and supports galleries, studios, and non-profits. (Yay free speech and celebration of culture, individuality, and diversity!)
Inspires Social Change – Many artists use their work to highlight important social issues, sparking conversations and action. Your investments help that work to continue.
Amplify Underrepresented Voices – Purchasing artwork from diverse artists helps to elevate their creativity and perspectives, contributing to a more inclusive and equitable art world. Take a look at our current exhibition, “Essence in Bloom,” which features thirteen Black American artists from across the nation.
Invest in Cultural and Social Impact – Some works reflect rich histories, diverse experiences, and powerful narratives that deserve to be recognized, celebrated, and preserved.
Support Economic Empowerment – Buying art from Black, Brown, and Marginalized groups strengthens their careers, fosters generational wealth, and helps create a more equitable art market.
Payment Options:
Galleries and artists often offer payment plans for larger/higher-priced pieces. At Gallery B612, we are more than happy to have a transparent discussion about budget and payment options - no pressure or expectations.
Consider starting a Print Collection:
Artists often have limited edition prints of their work if originals are out of your budget. Buying prints of an artist's work has all the same benefits of the bullet points above in a smaller package.
At Gallery B612, we have a small collection of prints from our current and previous shows. Come check out our print collection or ask us about any artwork in our collection, and we can help navigate a conversation on getting you a print of the piece.
Engaging with Arts Programming
Seattle is flush with local art walks, events, and artist workshops. Showing up and cheering on artists and galleries is a great way to support freedom of expression! Going to shows that celebrate diversity supports underrepresented voices, fosters awareness, and builds community. It’s a great way to learn, engage, and amplify inclusive messages while encouraging positive change.
